Additionally, the Town of Elgin will have a Memorial Table at Town Hall. If you would like to give in person, or simply leave a card or note for the family, please bring that to Town Hall during normal business hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00 pm-5 pm.

We want to thank Councilman Derek Shoemake for sponsoring the Memorial Table.

Kershaw County, in cooperation with Keefer Engineering, will be
conducting smoke testing to locate potential leaks or defects
in the public sewer system.

During testing, harmless white smoke will be introduced into sewer lines using a smoke-generating machine. The smoke will travel through the pipes and may exit from manholes, vent pipes, or other ground openings.

Smoke testing will start in Dovefield, Paces Green and Willow Creek subdivisions August 31 - September 4 (weather permitting).
