Elgin 4H/FFA Families!

It is time to start thinking about ordering hogs!

If you are needing a hog for Stock Show or Fair, please sign up in the Ag Room or comment on this post. We are again ordering through Mike Crae in Idaho (this is our old breeder that we've used for over 10 years prior to last year-- he decided not to retire after all).

I don't have an exact price yet, but they should be in the $275-$300 range. Delivery is typically mid to late February.

And that's a wrap to National Convention! After watching Dakota receive her American Degree, we headed back south to Nashville, stopping to experience Buc-ee's!

We ended the day at the Grand Ole Opry, with Riders in the Sky, Walker Montgomery, Elizabeth Nichols, Louis York, John Conlee, Louise Mandrell, Ben Rector, and Don Schlitz!

We flew out of Nashville at 5am this morning, landing in Boise at 10am! The kids slept almost the entire drive back to Elgin!

Congratulations Dakota Anderson (and Jodie Campbell who was unable to join us) on earning the American FFA Degree, the highest award the organization can bestow upon a member. This is the capstone to years of dedication to the FFA and their projects!

National Convention Day 3 & Day 4!

Convention sessions, Expo, National Chapter Award, and a tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!

National Convention Day 2!

The morning started early with a tour of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Museum, followed by the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum. After a short drive north to Goshen, Kentucky, we toured the Hermitage Farm. Finally, the day ended with a drive up to Indianapolis to get settled in for convention!

National FFA Convention Day 1!

We departed for the airport at 1:00am, flying to Nashville. After landing, we went downtown to the Hard Rock Cafe on Broadway in Nashville for dinner, before continuing north to stay the night in Louisville, Kentucky!
