The Elgin Chamber of Commerce is organized to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Elgin area so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper. All necessary means of promotion shall be provided, and particular attention and emphasis shall be

given to the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial and educational interests of this area. The Elgin Chamber of Commerce was first incorporated on November 27, 1968. When you join the Elgin Chamber of Commerce, you become part of a vibrant and prosperous community of creative entrepreneurs, forward thinking innovators and visionary business leaders. In todayโ€™s unique economic times, business which takes advantage of the Chamberโ€™s tools, resources and expansive network, find themselves better positioned to seize the opportunities in front of them opportunities they may not have realized existed. The Elgin Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting an economic climate that strengthens the competitiveness of local businesses and benefits citizens of Elgin. Meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month in the High School Library. Meetings start at noon with lunch available at 11:45. The meetings are designed to be business-like and informative, featuring a wide variety of speakers on issues of importance to business. We also discuss various ways of promoting the Elgin area.
