Elgin Fire Department Explorer Post 439 Fire Exploring is a hands-on program that exposes participants to many career experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities.

Fire Exploring offers youth of the Elgin community between the ages of 14 and 20 the opportunity to participate in a program that provides both classroom and manipulative training in Fire Service related topics. Lieutenant Brian Domaracki is the lead coordinator for the program with over 15 years of fire service experience. He brings a plethora of knowledge and experience to the program along with the many instructors.
