Hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30, and now is the time to prepare before a storm threatens our area.

The NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center is forecasting a below-normal Atlantic hurricane season and above-normal Eastern and Central Pacific hurricane seasons this year. However, it only takes one storm to cause major impacts to a community.

โœ… Review your emergency plans
โœ… Check your emergency supply kits
โœ… Know your evacuation routes
โœ… Stay informed with trusted weather sources
โœ… Make sure your family is prepared now, not later

Preparedness saves lives. Donโ€™t wait until a storm is approaching to get ready.
