A Flash Flood Warning has been issued until 745pm for Pasquotank County, North Carolina, The City of Elizabeth City, NC, and Camden County, NC.

Rainfall rates of 1-2” per hour are currently falling with an additional 1-2” expected.

Do not travel through standing water. Turn around and seek an alternative route.

A chance of severe storms later this afternoon/evening. Confidence in storm coverage is not super high, but wherever storms are able to develop, they will be capable of producing strong, damaging winds and a lot of lightning.

Additionally, a Heat Advisory is in effect for I-95 & east today as heat indices of 105-109Β° are expected once again. This will make heat-related illnesses more likely due to the oppressive level of heat + humidity.

Please limit time outdoors if you can & drink water even when you're not thirsty to avoid dehydration.

NEVER leave pets or kids in parked cars as it can become deadly hot very fast, even with the windows cracked!
