🎓 ECPPS’ cohort graduation rate has increased by an incredible 17.5 percentage points, from 65.4% in 2022 to 82.9% in 2026!

This means more students are graduating on time, demonstrating increased proficiency and mastery of curriculum standards, and gaining real-world experience through internships and career-readiness initiatives. Our students are leaving ECPPS ready to succeed in college, career, or service. 🎉

🏆 #13 OUT OF 115 SCHOOL DISTRICTS ​FOR GROWTH IN NORTH CAROLINA! 📈

That’s where ECPPS ranks for average school growth, according to the newly released 2025–26 State Report Card data! 🎉

The average school growth across ECPPS this past year was 83.5%!

Behind every percentage point is a student who grew, a teacher who made an impact, and a school that kept pushing forward.

And we’re not slowing down! 💪

The results are in, and Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Early College is officially the #1 public school in North Carolina! 🎉

Following the release of the 2025–26 State Report Card data, ECP​-Early College earned a 100% Student Achievement score and a School Performance Grade of 100 (A)​, the highest possible marks in both categories! 📈💯

This incredible recognition is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community members who continue to set the standard for excellence.

The College of The Albemarle auditorium was packed with students, marching bands, football players, cheerleaders, parents, teachers and leaders of Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools Wednesday morning. The excitement was for historic achievements in education at ECPPS over the last four years.

🎉 A BIG day for ECPPS!

Today, we are proud to celebrate the strongest gains in student achievement our district has seen to date. Since 2022, district proficiency has increased 21.1 percentage points, our cohort graduation rate has climbed to 82.9%, 11 schools have increased a letter grade, five schools have moved up two letter grades, and every ECPPS school has increased its achievement score.

These numbers tell a much bigger story. They represent students putting in the work, educators making a difference every day, families supporting our schools, and a community coming together around student success.

We are incredibly proud of how far ECPPS has come, and we know the work continues. Today, though, we celebrate the progress, the people behind it, and the momentum we are building for every student. 💙🧡
