Pasquotank Providence Fire Department Serving the Providence Township and Pasquotank County since 1980. Pasquotank County Station 8. One of 4 volunteer fire departments that serve Pasquotank County.

Our apparatus include:
(1) Engine; (1) Rescue Engine; (1) Ladder; (1) Squad; (1) Brush Truck; and (1) QRV/SUV. Interested in joining? 16 & 17 year olds can be part of our Junior Program. 18 and older serve as firefighters. We are proud to be an ISO Rated 4/9E Fire Department.

BURN BAN LIFTED EFFECTIVE 8AM, SUNDAY. MAY 3, 2026

The burn ban that has been in place by N.C. Forest Service and the Pasquotank County, North Carolina Fire Marshal will be lifted effect Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 8am. If you live in the city limits of Elizabeth City, please note the ordnance.

If you live in Pasquotank County outside the city limits, please know what is and is not permissible to burn. That boils down to what is grown on your property (leaves, sticks, etc.). Household trash and other items are NOT to be burned.

Thank you to everyone for their cooperation during the burn ban. Please be responsible when burning. Unattended fires are illegal and please have a water source.

Effective 8am, Sunday, May 03, 2026.
