📍 Where’s Whitney? 🥏🌳
Do any of y’all play disc golf?
It’s definitely a favorite sport and activity for my family! My kids play often and love finding new courses, and my husband, Rob, enjoys heading out with his friends for a round whenever he gets the chance.
Recently, though, he was stuck settling for a date with me on the course. Ha! 😂
Let’s just say that when the ultimate goal is to get the disc into that metal basket in as few throws as possible, the game went on for quite some time with me rotating between my driver, mid-range, and putter. And by “rotating,” I mean throwing, searching, laughing... and trying again! 🥏
I may not have gotten anywhere close to par on each hole, but we had an absolute blast and laughed A LOT. Rob was a very patient man as he tolerated my inability to get my disc anywhere near where it was supposed to go. 😂
We played at the Casey R. Logan Disc Golf Course, which offers some beautiful scenic views. If you’ve never played there, I’d say it’s a must if you’re in the area!
There’s just something about being outside, surrounded by nature, that gives me a little respite from the noise of the outside world. It’s one of those activities that lets me unplug, breathe, laugh, and simply enjoy the moment. 💚
And if you’re new to disc golf and need discs to get started, you can find them at several local shops—including Metro Rental, which happens to be right near the course. 🥏
Whether you’re an experienced player chasing par or, like me, spending a little more time chasing your disc, it’s a fun way to get outside, explore, and make some memories along the way.
💚 So... who else plays disc golf? And more importantly, who needs me for a partner on your team? 😂🙋♀️
