🚨The roads are very slick at this time. We urge you if it is not an emergency please do not be on the roads. WV Department of Highways crews are out working this as quickly as possible. In some instances getting stuck or hit by other motorists while trying to clear the roads.
🚨 URGENT WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE 🚨
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 1 PM today through 1 PM Sunday. Heavy snow is expected, with accumulations of 4 to 6 inches across portions of southeast Ohio and central, northern, southern, and western West Virginia.
Please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary once the storm begins.
Your cooperation is critical to allow emergency crews and Department of Highways teams to respond quickly and safely. Roads, bridges, and overpasses will become slick and hazardous, making travel extremely dangerous.
If travel cannot be avoided:
✅ Drive with extreme caution
✅ Carry a winter storm kit (flashlight, blankets, food, water, tire chains, booster cables, shovel, first aid kit)
✅ Check road conditions by calling 511 or visiting your state’s traffic portal
Help us keep everyone safe. Delay travel if possible and give emergency responders the space they need to do their job.
