Sadly, the Forward Township Supervisors have decided at tonight’s monthly municipal meeting that they are disbanding our Police Department effective midnight tonight. Reasons cited at the meeting were money and staffing issues. We are surprised and saddened at this turn of events.

Elizabeth Bridge northbound closed for approximately 1 hour due to accident. Traffic is being detoured to Clairton Glassport Bridge.

Road condition update as of 2pm. Location of each is listed under individual photo. Secondary state roads, Sunnyside, Ella Hollow, Raccoon Run Rd. are still snow covered and difficult to negotiate. Also be careful of snow drifts, blowing snow and isolated ice patches.

Be careful! Check on your neighbors!

Major snowfall event tomorrow (Sunday Jan 16). Please remember there is no on street parking during weather events. If you don’t have to go anywhere, please stay home!
