Snyder Foundation, the New Jersey Historic Trust (NJHT) and the Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit (NRTC) program, the Snyder Academy of Elizabethtown has recently been renovated and reborn. With a truly unique mix of historic treasures and state of the art facilities, it promises to be a catalyst for community and economic development as well as a cultural and educational center. The campus consists of an astonishing constellation of resources and facilities in the heart of midtown Elizabeth just two blocks from the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor train station and 10 minutes from Newark Airport.

Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence with us as we host a variety of programs during the month of June.

With summer temperatures on the rise, the City of Elizabeth Recreation Department, is making Cooling Centers available to help residents stay safe and comfortable during periods of extreme heat.

Residents are encouraged to visit any of the locations listed below to cool down, especially seniors, young children, and those without access to air conditioning.

Please review the locations and hours of operation and remember to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, and check on family members, friends, and neighbors who may be vulnerable to the heat.

What a great time in Midtown Elizabeth!

We’re still smiling thinking about La Gran Búsqueda de Pascua (The Great Easter Hunt) Families came out, kids had a blast, and the energy was great from start to finish.

Hosted on the grounds of The Snyder Academy and Siloam Hope First Presbyterian Church, this event really showed what community looks like when everyone comes together.

From the egg hunt to the music, games, and smiles all around… it was a day full of joy, connection, and memories.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it special. We’re already looking forward to the next one.
