🇺🇸⚓ HUGE NYC EVENT: Fleet Week Returns to the Intrepid This July!

New Yorkers, mark your calendars! 🇺🇸

For the first time, Fleet Week is moving from Memorial Day Weekend to July 4–8, 2026 as part of America’s 250th Birthday celebration, and the historic Intrepid Museum will be at the center of it all. 🎆⚓

Expect one of the biggest military and maritime celebrations NYC has ever seen:

✅ U.S. Navy, Marines & Coast Guard displays
✅ Military demonstrations & interactive exhibits
✅ Live music and performances
✅ Historic tall ships from around the world
✅ Opportunities to tour visiting vessels
✅ Family-friendly activities on Pier 86
✅ Massive Hudson River ship parade
✅ U.S. Navy Blue Angels aerial demonstrations (scheduled as part of America’s 250 celebrations)

🎟️ Many Fleet Week activities on Pier 86 are included with museum admission, while some outdoor viewing areas and special events may be free. Check official schedules as they are released.

Rest in Peace, Arlington County, Virginia, Police Corporal Barry James Foust, E.O.W. May 22, 2026.
Corporal Foust succumbed to a 9/11 illness contracted during his heroic and selfless work in the toxic environment of the Pentagon Rescue and Recovery. He was 64 years old and served with the Arlington County Police Department for 37 years. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
Barry, rest in the Lord's eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.

Rest in Peace, Central Berks, Pennsylvania, Regional Police Department Police Officer Kristen Yeager, E.O.W. May 29, 2026.
Police Officer Yeager was killed in a motor vehicle accident when responding to an emergency in a neighboring agency.
She was 42 years old and a two and one half year veteran of the Central Berks Regional Police Department. She is survived by her husband and three children.
Kristen, rest in the Lord's eternal embrace. Always Honored, Never Forgotten.

Every Friday, we proudly wear RED to honor and remember the brave men and women serving our nation around the world.

Behind every deployment is a family waiting, praying, supporting, and counting the days until their loved one returns home safely. Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. stands beside those military families and reminds them they are never alone on this journey.

Today, and every Friday, we remember those missing from dinner tables, holidays, birthdays, milestones, and everyday moments at home.

Until they all come home safely, we will continue to wear RED with pride.

The New Jersey Department of Corrections, mourns the passing of Correctional Police Sergeant Matthew Pellicane.

Sergeant Pellicane began his career with the Department in November of 2015 and in April of 2025 was promoted to Sergeant at Northern State Prison. He returned to New Jersey State Prison in February of this year. Sergeant Pellicane served with pride and distinction and will be missed by his friends and colleagues at NJSP and throughout the NJDOC. 

Our thoughts are with the loved ones and friends of Sergeant Pellicane and his NJSP family at this difficult time.
