What a night for our EF community as our girls softball team brought home the WPIAL Class 4A Championship! From the first pitch of the season to the final out of the championship game, these girls showed heart, determination, teamwork, and pride representing our town every step of the way. They played for each other, for their school, and for the entire community that stood behind them all season long.

As they made their way back home as champions, the celebration only got bigger. Fire trucks lit up the streets, police cars escorted the team back to the highschool and the community and families lined the parking lots cheering them on with pride. Sirens echoed through the neighborhood as everyone came together to welcome home these incredible athletes the way they deserved. It was more than just a softball victory ,it was a reminder of what true community support looks like.

Moments like this show the strength of our community!! When one group succeeds, the entire community celebrates together. Congratulations to our WPIAL 4A Champions!!
Let’s Go get that State Title Girls!! Great Job to all the coaches especially Head Coach Harry with his 250 Career win !!!

Every year on Memorial Day, the firefighters gathered not just as a department but as a family. The annual cookout became more than burgers on the grill and stories around the tables—it was a day to remember the heroes who gave everything for this country and to appreciate the brotherhood and sisterhood that keeps the fire service strong. Firefighters and families stood side by side, sharing laughs, memories, and gratitude. The cookout showed what the fire service is truly about—family, tradition, respect, and never forgetting those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and communities. Thanks to all who came!!

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Freedom is not free — it was earned through the courage, dedication, and selflessness of heroes who put others before themselves and gave everything in service to this nation.

As firefighters, we understand the meaning of duty, sacrifice, and brotherhood. We know what it means to answer the call when others need help most. Our military members carried that same commitment on battlefields around the world, standing strong to protect the freedoms we enjoy every single day.

To those who never made it home, we thank you. Your bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten. To the families who carry the weight of that loss, we stand with you and honor your loved ones’ legacy. Their courage lives on through every American flag that flies, every community that gathers in freedom, and every generation that remembers their service.

From all of us in the fire service, thank you to our veterans, active military, and especially the fallen heroes who gave their lives for this country. We owe you a debt that can never truly be repaid, but your sacrifice will forever be remembered and honored.
