This year the pool will be opening late due to the kids getting out of school later in the year.

We are also have a new liner installed this year. Provided all goes well it should not cause any delays at all in our opening.

We usually start taking reservations om May 1, however, due to not knowing when the liner will be completed, I am hesitant to start taking reservations too early, especially for June dates.

I will try to keep everyone updated as we get further into this project.

75 year of continuous service to the community, Buena Vista VFC celebrated 75 years today

Well, it is that time of the year again, time to start booking our summer parties!! Below you will find our pricing for the 2025 season, it may look the same as last year because once again we have been able to hold our prices for passes, admission and parties.

We are looking forward to opening for our 75th consecutive season for 2025!! Tentative opening date is going to be May 30th with a grand opening celebration to commemorate our 75 years!! We will be open Saturday and Sunday then closed till school gets out on Thursday.

Sorry for the delay, here is the pricing for the pool for teh 2024 year. We are holding our prices this year again!!!

Well it is getting to be that time of the year again where we are starting to prepare for another great summer of fun. As part of the preparations we will be looking to fill the following positions:

Pool manager/lead lifeguard, responsibilities include:

- Responsible for scheduling guards for the pool for both day and evening swim sessions.
- Able to maintain the water quality per the guidelines of Allegheny County Heath Department.
- Coordinate all day and evening swim parities and collect funds for such parties.
- Strong leadership is required for this position.
- Other responsibilities will be further discussed during the interview process.

Life Guard:

-Currently Certified life guard with CPR and AED training
- Strong leadership and communication skills and a commitment to the safety of all patrons
- Lifeguard experience is preferred, however, recently certified guards will be considered as well.

Ticket Booth Attendant:

- Check in guests daily, verify their pool pass or receive cash and balance register at the end of the day.

Well it has been another awesome year for the pool. This is our hours toward the end of the season this year. I would like to thank everyone for supporting our pool, it truely is a diamond in the rough.

To the Fire Company, what an amazing story we have to tell. 73 consecutive years of operation, we are the oldest continuously operating pool in Allegheny County. We are proud to continue on into the future, rest assured we will be here for your enjoyment.
