The Hispanic Law Enforcement Association of Union County would like to Congratulate Sergeant Victoria Gonzalez, of The Linden Police Department, on her promotion during Women’s History Month.
Sergeant Victoria Gonzalez is a 2006 graduate of Rahway High School. She began her career with the Linden Police department in 2016 and has consistently demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and leadership throughout her time in the Patrol Division. She has served as a Field Training Officer since 2022, mentoring new officers, and was assigned to the Crime Suppression Unit in 2023.
Victoria holds certifications in Crisis Intervention and is both a Tactical Emergency Medical Instructor and an OC Spray Instructor. She has been the recipient of multiple Chief’s Citations, along with the Excellent Police Duty Medal in 2022.
With her recent promotion, she makes history as the first Hispanic female Sergeant in the history of the Linden Police Department, where she will now serve as a Patrol Shift Supervisor.
