For those of us who grew up with the Elizabeth "4-way" in our vernacular, we know that it was more than just a crossroads in a little town. It was a living, breathing thing with a life of it's own...and it was like an old friend. Good times and bad times existed there but they taught us about life...real life. So this page was created for all who have memories there to come and share a little piece of their connection to this wonderful, magical, mystical place. And please...tell it like was! No judgements at the 4-way...then or now!

It is fall and the pumpkin harvest is nearly done. In years past, the old 4-way saw its share of "smashin' pun-kin's"...so if you have a favorite 4-way fall memory...please share them!

Life in the Elizabeth 4-Way was special to many of us...many memeories...mostly good but occasionally, not so good. But it was a huge part of our youth and our passage from childhood to some similance of adulthood.
Perhaps we should consider an organized and controlled (I know...sounds silly) 4-Way Reunion...like a street party or something. And no...I am not suggesting that we all show up and have a brawl in the street. But a nice "official" event, done legally and controlled might just be fun.
Let's hear your thoughts and opinions.

Ok... a special TBT photo Just for the South Central Class of 80...here are the two group shots from the yearbook spread. And I scanned these from the original photos and combined them into one image.
35 years ago, my friends.
It seems like just yesterday and yet, it seems as if a lifetime has passed. A few are now gone...I dare say that we were a unique bunch. And regardless of what has transgressed since, there is a special bond between us. We always said there would be...after all, we are the Class of 80!

There'll never be another Elizabeth 4-way in our lives...the one from our past is the genuine article...the real McCoy....the original. Anything that happens there today is just pale in comparison to the 4-way of the past. Maybe that is a good thing...I don't know. Many people say things like "it's a wonder we all didn't get killed" or "I don't know how more of us didn't get arrested."
Truthfully, some did...on both accounts...but for most, the 4-way represents an endearing part of our past...something we remember of a simplier time, when we were still trying to find ourselves and still retain our identity.
The Elizabeth 4-way was our innocent devil-in-disguise...our alter ego...our "other side."
And it lives in our memories...like a long-lost relative.
