Battle of the Badges Charity Basketball Game returns!

Thomas Dunn Sports Center will be filled with city residents and your local departments to raise money for the YMCA for women and children. Come cheer on your favorite Firefighters 👨🏻‍🚒 and cops 👮🏻‍♂️

Earlier this evening at approximately 7:45PM, EFD Tour 1 units operated at a confirmed working house fire on the 700 block of Jackson Avenue. First arriving companies Engine 6 and Ladder 3 made a quick knock down in the attic division.

Engine Company #2 (Tour 3) members stopped by the William F. Halloran School #22 for a visit. October 8th-14th is Fire Prevention Week. This morning EFD members raised awareness about fire safety to the students.

Wednesday 8/17/2023:

Yesterday off duty Elizabeth Fire Department members helped to make sandwiches and prepare lunch for Assemblywoman Annette QuijanoAnnual “Hunger Doesn’t Take A Vacation” program. With the help of other volunteers from the Lions Club and Bristol Myers Squibb over 1000 lunches were prepared.

Congratulations to our medical director at Elizabeth Fire Department, Matt Letizia, on being named the 2023 NAEMT/Bound Tree-Sarnova EMS Medical Director of the Year! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

He was also named American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians National EMS Physician of the Year in 2021 and the NJ EMS Physician of the Year in 2018.
