Well, we held another protest and it was a great experience! No one was injured, although our dinosaur may have overheated! It threatened to rain but held off for the entire time if the event. Many thanks to everyone who showed up and participated! 💙💙💙

Last night we heard from five candidates, and the plan for a PRIDE celebration in Elizabethton next month! We also encourage everyone to show up Saturday for the protest across from Walmart in Elizabethton, with the focus on the lack of prosecution and release of the Epstein files. We are an active community of dedicated volunteers, even when it rains. 💙

As many of you know, former County Chair Diane Wilde moved to The Groves in Oak Ridge, an assisted living facility, last December to be closer to her sister.

It is with great sorrow that I share a communication I received today from her partner, Norris Johnson.

"Diane had a bad fall yesterday morning, resulting in a massive brain bleed. She passed away about 1:00pm. She requested to be cremated by Weatherford Funeral Home in Oak Ridge with no services. She asked that this information be shared with her Carter County Democrat friends."

Diane was a brilliant woman who dedicated much of her life to democracy and the Democrat party. Her abilities to be fierce when she need to and an advocate always, will be missed.

Today was Teacher Appreciation Day at Central Elementary, and our group hosted a luncheon for all the teachers and staff. They showed their appreciation for our contributions to the students on their main sign out front. It has been a joy and pleasure to provide for these students, since most of the parents struggle to meet their basic needs.
