It's official, we're hosting our first ever Veterans & Service K9s Pit Chicken Meal Fundraiser! 🪖🦮🇺🇸

Meet us at The Country Store to pick up your Pit Chicken Meals on Saturday - June 6, 2026, from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

* ALL proceeds go directly towards the 5+ LOCAL Veterans & Service K9s to provide full service K9 specific training, equipment, gear & lifetime support. ❤️🤍💙

🎟️ Ticket Price: $15

🍽️ Meals Include:
• 1/4 Chicken
• Baked Potato
• Pasta Salad
• TXRH Dinner Roll & Butter

Special thank you to The Country Store allowing us to host the pickup spot at their facility, the Texas Roadhouse team for their generous donation of a dinner roll for EVERY meal purchased, and lastly but certainly not least our very own Glenn Vicki Sauder for their time & supplies to get these chicken quarters tasting just right! 🫶🏻

We rely heavily on our communities to get these Veterans & Service K9s the support they need and the contributions by so many individuals & local businesses doesn't go unappreciated! 🩶

The Department of General Services is proud to announce that Pennsylvania Capitol Police Police Officer Bradley Rohrbaugh and his K9 partner, Rex, have been recognized by Governor Josh Shapiro with a Governor’s Awards for Excellence, one of the Commonwealth’s highest honors for state employees.

Officer Rohrbaugh and K9 Rex are being recognized for their decisive and courageous actions during a rapidly evolving incident at the Pennsylvania Capitol Complex in late 2024. While responding to a report of a person armed with a firearm near the complex grounds, Officer Rohrbaugh — relying on training, instinct, and teamwork with his K9 partner — helped bring the situation to a swift and safe resolution.
