CHAPTER MEETING NEWS: NARFE Chapter 1050 upcoming meetings are as follows:

Monday, June 1st at Shoney's Community Room 1046 Executive Dr, Elizabethtown

Monday, July 6th at Golden Corral Community Room, 1835 N. Dixie Hwy, Elizabethtown.

Monday August 3rd in the Central Kentucky Community Hall located at 200 Jim Owen Dr. Elizabethtown. At this meeting we will vote on the chapter's meeting location (Shoney's, Golden Corral or Central Kentucky Community Hall) going forward.

Monday, September 14th at Freeman Lake for our annual picnic. Fried chicken will be provided by the chapter. Please plan to side dishes.

The next meeting of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1050 will be June 1st, 2026. Meeting location will be Shoney's Community Room, 1046 Executive Dr., Elizabethtown. Separate bills will be provided to attendees who wish to order food or drinks. The breakfast bar closes at 11 AM and is $12.99. Please arrive no later than 10:45 if you wish to order the breakfast bar. The lunch bar opens after 11 AM . You may also order from the menu. The speaker will be Keven Warrell with information on the latest scams targeting seniors. The meeting begins at 11:00. POC Sharon Crady at 270-832-8857.

Shoney's in Elizabethtown, KY, is located in front of the Cracker Barrel on Executive Dr. off of N. Mulberry. If you are traveling to Elizabethtown on I65 South or I65 North, take exit 94.

The next monthly meeting of Elizabethtown chapter of National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) will be May 4th, 2026. The speaker is Mike Anders from the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. He will speak on how to interact with people who have Alzheimer’s.
