Can’t wait for you to join us for our “Party in the USA!” Parade this Saturday morning!

Make plans to join us for the 43rd annual Heartland Parade in downtown Elizabethtown! This Saturday - August 22nd at 10am, we invite you line West Dixie Avenue and watch your hometown favorites including high school marching bands, civic organizations, and balloons as the parade rolls up Dixie!
The parade step-off is at 10am and starts at the downtown Etown square, then proceeds north on West Dixie Avenue, concluding at the intersection of West Dixie Avenue and St. John Road.

⛔️ NORTH MAIN STREET DETOUR ⛔️

Beginning Monday, August 24th, northbound traffic on North Main Street between the intersections of Williams Street and Frank Street will be closed. Southbound traffic will remain open. Patterson Street between the intersections of Stewart Street and North Main Street will be closed to thru traffic.

The closure is due to the City's street and sidewalk improvements project.

Chief Thompson with Elizabethtown Police Department was honored to help honor Senator Matt Deneen and State Representative Steve Bratcher who received the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police Legislative Award for their support of law-enforcement initiatives across the Commonwealth.

Make plans to join us NEXT Wednesday, August 19th for the exciting Lawn Party at Freeman Lake Park's bandstand. Parking begins at 5:30 with Last Call taking the stage at 6:30pm. We'll have yummy food trucks, beer vendors and lawn games!

A portion of Pear Orchard Road will be closed today, Thursday, August 13th, from 8:30-2:00 pm so paving crews can work in the area.

A detour route thru Calhoun Street will allow work at Pear Orchard Rd. & Edgewater Drive.
