Many parents and businesses like to spoil our staff during teacher appreciation week. To help ensure nothing goes to waste we have been asked to help coordinate treats that are brought in. We can’t wait to see all of our BULLDOGS tomorrow night at the dance! We will have nachos, hotdogs, chips, drinks and fun glow items for purchase. There are still slots open for parents to volunteer to work a 30 minute shift. Come join the fun 5:30-7:30!

Last call for reading logs! Due to some students not receiving their logs the first week, we had extended our Read-A-Thon through today. Reading logs will need to be turned in NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY! We are trying to reach our goal of 30,000 minutes. Pledges are great but not our overall goal! If you need a copy of the log you can either print this one OR just write it out on paper with student name, grade, teacher and your signature to confirm your child read.

Trust me when I say that minutes matter! We can easily hit our 30,000 minutes read goal if each student read just 60 minutes over the last two weeks! Make sure that you logged all of your minutes and return your sheet before Wednesday. The student in each grade that read the most wins a fun prize and the class that raised the most funds wins a treat of choice! If we hit our 30,000 goal then we all get a PJ DAY! The top reader in the school will get to find out the surprise Mrs. Campbell has in store and you DON’T want to miss it!

We are coming to the end of our first week of our Read-A-Thon! Don’t forget to log your minutes so that you can get credit for EVERY minute read. The TOP READER in every grade will receive a fun prize AND every student who reads at least 60 minutes will get a special prize! If we hit 30,000 minutes as a school we will have a PAJAMA DAY😁 This goal is VERY easy to hit if everyone participates. If someone reads to you, this also counts!

The class that raises the most funds will have their choice of treat!

We are SOOOO excited for our holiday shop tomorrow! We will be open through Friday for students to be able to shop. I have included the QR code in this post if you prefer to use Zeffy, although cash is preferred. All items range from $1-5 with the majority just $1. Heartland families, It is time for our holiday shop! We are very excited to give our students the opportunity to shop for family and friends. We have sent a flyer home with students to return if they will need help shopping. While cash is preferred as payment we are also offering the option of Zeffy. We will check the Zeffy account throughout the day to ensure everyone has the opportunity to shop. If you are using the Zeffy payment option please note that you can opt out of the fee by entering 0. Please contact the PTO with any questions.
