Red Hill Cutlery and Boundary Oak Distillery in Radcliff are hosting their annual Bourbon and Blades festival on Saturday, Sept. 12, and we’re excited to be part of it!

We’ll have a table at the event, where you can bid in a silent auction featuring three custom pocketknives generously donated by Red Hill Cutlery. The collection includes two Prototype 00 of 50 Bourbon and Blades event Case knives, as well as a Custom Buck 112 Folding Hunter knife featuring Elk Stag handles.

Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit United Way of Central Kentucky.

This all-day festival runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is free and open to the public. To learn more, visit redhillcutlery.com/bourbonandblades.

We’re just one week away from our campaign kickoff! Join us Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Pritchard Community Center in Elizabethtown as we celebrate 25 years of community impact and share how you can help us build an even stronger community for the next 25 years.

The event begins at 11 a.m. with the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce’s Volunteer Expo, followed by their luncheon at 11:30 a.m.

Is your nonprofit working to make a difference across our five-county region? Now is the time to start preparing for our annual grant application process.

United Way of Central Kentucky is hosting three Grant Training Sessions in September for eligible local nonprofits interested in applying for funding. Applicants must attend one of the sessions to be eligible to apply for funding.

To be eligible, your organization must be a 501(c)(3), serve residents in Hardin, LaRue, Meade, Breckinridge or Grayson counties, and have work that aligns with one or more of our pillars: Basic Needs, Health, Financial Stability or Education.

Training sessions are available Sept. 10, Sept. 16 and Sept. 18, with both in-person and virtual options.
