REMINDER - Ticonderoga DMV will be closed tomorrow (Tues. 2/24). Sorry for the inconvenience! However, we will be open an additional day in March (Tues. 3/3) to make up for it. Please call the main office in Elizabethtown with any questions - (518) 873-3620.

‼️DMV SHUTDOWN - Today's the day!‼️

All DMV Offices in NYS are mandated to close by 2pm today (2/13) for a statewide system upgrade. Offices are directed to remain closed through 2/17. Once NYS DMV gives the go-ahead, we can re-open to the public. This is planned for start of business 2/18, but is subject to change!

Your patience while we’re closed and learn the new system is greatly appreciated ❤️

‼️REMINDER‼️
DMVs will be shutdown statewide this Friday afternoon for a major system upgrade. This includes all County DMV offices. Essex County DMV will close to the public Friday at 2p and, if everything goes as planned (🤞🏻), we will re-open Wednesday the 18th at 9am.

We will be open until 7pm tonight (11th) and tomorrow (12th) to help you complete your DMV transactions before the shutdown. Please take advantage of these extended hours!

‼️IMPORTANT NOTICE‼️
On Friday, Feb. 13th at 2pm, the NYS DMV system will shutdown statewide for a massive upgrade. This shutdown is expected to last through Tuesday, Feb. 17th. DMV offices, online services, and the call center will be down during this time. If the upgrade goes according to plan (🤞🏻), services will be restored by Wednesday, Feb. 18th for regular business hours.

To ensure our customers can complete their DMV transactions before the shutdown, the Essex County DMV will be open 2 extra hours on Wednesday, Feb. 11th & Thursday, Feb. 12th, and we will remain open until 2pm on Friday, Feb. 13th. Please take advantage of these hours and do not put off completing your important DMV transactions.

We appreciate your patience, both during the shutdown and while we navigate through the new system once it’s up and running. ❤️

The Essex County Clerk's Office & DMV will be open late on 4 nights in February for travel document processing - Passports, REAL IDs, & EDLs.
