Yesterday, Thursday, May 28, 2026, Hardin Circuit and District Courts held a Veterans Treatment Court Graduation. This program provides a pathway for veterans who complete it to resolve their legal cases and receive support, mentorship and care.
The two men, Jeremy and Jeffrey, shared their story of evolving from existing to surviving to thriving, Hardin District Judge Kim Winkenhofer Shumate said.
The court proceeding was conducted at the Elizabethtown Nature Park Veterans Memorial. The community, elected officials, supporters and family members attended the event. Hardin Fiscal Court offers a portion of the funding for the program.
