URGENT REMINDER:

SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT - LIHEAP ENDS SEPTEMBER 11, 2026

Managing monthly household expenses during the hottest weeks of the year can bring an overwhelming amount of stress. If summer power bills are stretching your budget, we have resources ready to support you.

The LIHEAP Summer Subsidy program is actively accepting applications across our eight-county service area. This one-time benefit is paid directly to your electric vendor as an account credit, helping reduce future energy costs and freeing up funds for other family necessities.

Don’t delay. Funding is limited and the program ends Sept. 11. Continue making your regular payments to keep your account current, and call your local CKCAC office to see how this credit can help your budget.

High summer cooling costs can put a heavy strain on any household budget. If you're looking for extra financial breathing room, Central Kentucky Community Action is here to help ease the burden.

The LIHEAP Summer Subsidy program is open through Sept. 11. Income-eligible households (up to 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines) can receive a one-time electric credit applied directly to their utility account.

Important Reminder: While you should continue paying your current utility bill to keep your account up to date, this credit helps offset future electric costs to give your family budget a much-needed break.

Reach out to your local county CKCAC office today to schedule an appointment: https://ckcac.org/about/locations/.

CKCAC was proud to assist 6,728 local neighbors through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) during the 2024–2025 fiscal year, helping families keep the lights on, stay warm in the winter, and stay cool during peak summer heat.

Behind every number is a household that didn't have to choose between keeping their power running and putting food on the table.

Are you one of those families needing help with your electric bill this summer? That impact continues through our LIHEAP Summer Subsidy. Applications are open through Sept. 11.

This federally funded program provides a one-time credit directly on your electric bill to help offset high air conditioning costs during the hottest months of the year.

Available to income-eligible households across our eight-county service area (Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson, and Washington counties).

No disconnect notice required to apply. Funding is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Don't wait. Contact your local county CKCAC office today to schedule an intake appointment and secure your utility credit. To find an office near you, go to https://ckcac.org/about/locations/.
