Now that my campaign for mayor and election day are past I need to take a step back and thank those who helped make it a success. I first want to thank my family, for without their love and support this victory would have much less meaning. Thanks go out to my many friends throughout the borough for the kind words of support and encouragement. Thank you to the Elizabethtown Area Republican Committee and the Lancaster County Republican Committee for their endorsement and help to get my message out in the community.

To the 1800+ residents of Elizabethtown that voted for me I am truly thankful. My pledge to you and ALL residents of our community is that I will take seriously my oath of office and will do my very best to serve everyone with fairness and respect. Whether Republican, Democrat or Independent, we all have a common goal, that being to ensure that Elizabethtown remains the vibrant thriving community that we all love.

While I have a tremendous respect for and love of Elizabethtown’s history, the future wellbeing of Elizabethtown as a whole has always been the focus of my campaign. I will always strive to keep Elizabethtown the safe, welcoming town that I have known and loved my whole life. I want to help make Elizabethtown the community that families will call their ‘Home Town’ for generations to come.

Our nation’s 250th anniversary will be celebrated in 2026, followed by Elizabethtown’s Bicentennial in 2027. With all of us working together we can make the next few years among the best Elizabethtown has seen.

Voting today honors our heritage and helps our community thrive for generations to come!

✦ Meet Phil Clark

For Mayor of Elizabethtown.

Proven Leadership. Deep Roots. Real Commitment.

Phil Clark has spent his entire life investing in Elizabethtown — not as a politician, but as a neighbor, a volunteer, and a leader who shows up when the community needs him.

A lifelong resident of Elizabethtown, Phil and his wife, Beverly, have been married for 45 years. Together they raised three children and now enjoy being grandparents to three. Phil served as Facilities Manager at Christ Lutheran Church for 50 years, and previously served on Church Council. His faith and dedication to service have shaped how he leads: humbly and with purpose.

Phil’s passion for preserving Elizabethtown’s history and strengthening its future is evident in the work he has done:

• Author of several books documenting Elizabethtown’s history and its people
• Chair of Elizabethtown’s annual New Year’s Eve Celebration for the past 11 years
• Chair of the Bicentennial Steering Committee
• President of the Elizabethtown Preservation Associates
• Serves on the Elizabethtown Borough Civil Service Commission and Development Authority

He has been instrumental in maintaining the Winter’s Heritage House Museum, the Seibert Genealogy Library, and remains an active member of the Historical Society.

✦ Experienced, Steady Leadership

Phil brings extensive governing experience, including:

• 16 years on Borough Council
• Served as both President and Vice President
• Former Chairman of the Elizabethtown Planning Commission
• Graduate of Elizabethtown’s Citizens College, a yearlong program focused on borough operations

Phil knows how local government works — and more importantly, how to get things done.

✦ Phil’s Priorities as Mayor

✔ Support our Police Department and ensure they have the tools to keep residents safe
✔ Strengthen partnerships with local organizations and community groups
✔ Promote events and initiatives that enrich the lives of residents and support local businesses
✔ Lead with transparency, respect, and common sense

“Elizabethtown is my home. I’m running to ensure our community remains a safe, vibrant, and welcoming place for every resident.”
