Jerry Johnson Hot Springs Jerry Johnson Hot Springs A mile hike in the Lochsa National Forest. When the river is low there are small springs to sit in. More in the late summer early fall.

When you get to the first set, they are directly on the river and a waterfall with very hot water is coming out of the mountain. If you bring a tarp you can make your own pool. This area is more private if you like to get Naked. Go further up and there are several springs.

Fellow hot springers, any current pictures and a report on the condition of the trail would be much appreciated! I wish I was able to visit more often but being without a vehicle seems to hinder such visits. I do need my Jerry's fix!

People of the forest, please follow the Jerry Johnson Hot Springs page as well as like. It would be greatly appreciated if fellow hot springers who have visited recently would give update and pics. And to travelers who keep requesting a phone number be posted, it is not possible. I tried a string and a can but I couldn't find a long enough string. This area is remote. Pristine. I love the fact you can't use phones and such out there. 😘

Letting the person who keeps suggesting I change the description of Jerry Johnson hot springs. I will not. It is a recreational area. Hiking, backpacking, horse back riding, hot springs and so forth. It is historical. Hence the name. I don't know if it's the same person, but it is suggested at least once a month. I will keep it at recreational and historical. The whole area has a lot of awesome history. Done as****es in that history. I can suggest a piece of history of the area in I believe it is called As****es or bastards of Montana.
