Recently, Elk City students Hadley Kennedy, Boston Stover, and Evan Yow attended Oklahoma Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY), held at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. During this four-day leadership seminar, students focused on personal, group, and service leadership while developing their leadership skills, learning to collaborate with others, and participating in meaningful service projects.

We are proud to say that Elk City was exceptionally well represented by these outstanding young leaders. Their character, enthusiasm, and willingness to serve made a lasting impression throughout the seminar.

HOBY volunteers Kathleen Jung and Bridgette Shelton were honored to attend and could not be more proud of these fine young people. The future is bright, and it is in good hands with students like these leading the way!

Free Summer Meals! - Summer's here and so are free meals. No sign-up, just fresh food ready to go! Breakfast and a lunch free to any child under 18 years old. Pick up 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday Elk City Intermediate School.

The bus will start down pioneer passing the high school, then circle around past the elementary, then will makes its way down 3rd street.

ELKS Academy would like to thank everyone for their donations of used pill bottles. Students have prepared over 1200 bottles to be sent to Matthew 25:Ministries. These have been saved from going into landfills but rather be used for medication distribution in developing countries. This was a new service learning project for the 2nd semester and was an overwhelming success! We still have bottles to clean when school starts in August. We will not be taking any more donations at this time, but save your bottles and be looking for our start up date again in September.
