Protect yourself and our community from fraud.

Scammers are constantly finding new ways to target people through phone calls, text messages, social media, and fake online offers. Never give out personal information, banking details, or payment to someone you do not know or trust.

If something seems suspicious, too urgent, or too good to be true, take a moment to verify before responding.

The Elk City Police Department encourages everyone to stay alert, report suspicious activity, and help spread awareness to keep our community safe.

This week has been National Police Week, observed every May. This year, we celebrate May 9th–15th as we honor and show appreciation to the men and women who protect and serve our communities every day.

We are grateful for their commitment, sacrifice, and dedication not only during National Police Week, but every single day.

What is National Police Week?
In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15th falls as National Police Week.
