The mission of Elk Grove Township is to carry out the duties and responsibilities of Township government as prescribed by Illinois law. The ways in which these goals are accomplished is by providing for the health, safety and welfare of all Township residents, and to maintain the highways and property of the Township both professionally and economically. Additionally, this mission is to be carried

out in a timely and efficient manner with the highest degree of service to the taxpayers, thereby continuing the tradition of service provided by Elk Grove Township. The boundaries of Elk Grove Township are Central Road on the North; Mt. Prospect Road on the East; Devon Avenue on the South; and Rohlwing Road; (generally Route 53) on the West. About 66% of Elk Grove Village is in our Township; 55% of Mt. Prospect; 20% of Des Plaines; 15% of Arlington Heights and 10% of Rolling Meadows. About one-fourth of the geographic area of the Township is unincorporated, a large portion of which is Forest Preserve.

The 39th Annual Community Paint‑A‑Thon will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026. This free program provides exterior painting services for the homes of older adults, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.

To be eligible, residents must meet the following requirements:
-Homeowners must own and occupy their residence
-Have limited financial resources (Household income of $45,000 or less)
-Be at least 60 years old, a veteran, or living with a permanent disability

Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Residents can check their eligibility, apply, or find out more information by contacting Miriam Herrera directly at 224‑222‑0942. This is a great opportunity to support members of our community and help brighten their homes!

This month, the Elk Grove Township Food Pantry is especially in need of:
Toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, baby wipes, jams, jellies, condiments, dressings, pickles, & croutons.

Drop-off Hours
Mon–Fri: 9 AM–4 PM
Tue & Thu: Extended hours until 7 PM (West Entrance)

If you need help bringing in your donations, call us at 224‑265‑6111 and we’ll be happy to assist!
