Immigration Resources

Recently Assembly Bill 49 and Senate Bill 98 were signed into law. This legislation is designed to protect immigrant families and to safeguard school campuses from immigration enforcement actions.

As part of our commitment to fostering welcoming and inclusive campuses, we have received key resources to support our immigrant students and families. These materials are to ensure that every child has access to a safe learning environment, regardless of their immigration status.

We have three 8.5" x 14” posters in English, Spanish, and Farsi on display in our front office. Linked below are additional resources.

We Keep Each Other Safe (link in comments)
Caregiver Affidavits (link in comments)
Mental Health Resources (link in comments)
Spanish Translations (link in comments)
Farsi Translations (link in comments)

We want to help all families and staff to feel safe.
Thanks for your time and consideration. Have a nice day!

Sincerely,
Dr. Tamela Moore

Dear Parents and/or Guardians,

You have truly been a supportive community with what we plan for our students, and we say, "Thank you very much." We reached our goal to raise funds for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) / Kindergarten (K) recess equipment with two weeks of fundraising in April. Throughout the school year, you've helped us to increase after-school extracurricular activities to all students. You are our champions!

Now, I would like to give you more updates for our school.

Compliments from Superintendent, Chris Hoffman, and Board Trustee, Jennifer Ballerini - Herburger Recycling Program

On 4-17-25, Mr. Hoffman, Mrs. Ballerini, Maintenance and Operations Department, Food and Nutrition Department, and officials from the City of Elk Grove toured our campus and attended our recycling assembly to congratulate Roy Herburger Elementary students and staff for consistently running our recycling program.
We are the "Number 1 School" who collects the most organic waste for the entire Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD). Hooray!
We are also in the "Top 10 of Schools who Recycle" thousands of pounds in EGUSD.
We help EGUSD to obtain grants by the work we do here at Herburger.
Based on what we do, other schools can now follow our model (if they would like to do so).
