Our team is aware and monitoring the ongoing search operations in Butte County. Our Operations leads have been in regular communication with the Butte County Sheriff, and they are aware of our capabilities. Butte County Sheriff's Search & Rescue is being assisted by California's robust Law Enforcement Mutual Aid program, managed by the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services, the program allows law enforcement agencies to share assets and resources to support a range of operations include search and rescue.

We discourage private citizens and organizations from interfering with ongoing search efforts. We know these community members are well intended and it can be difficult to stand-by. However, unrequested and self-deployed searchers can hamper SAR operations and force public safety agencies to divert resources away from active search operations.

Last month, our President and Vice President were invited by Global Ties Sacramento in partnership with the U.S. Department of State to speak with a delegation of public safety officials from Pakistan. Our team was honored to share our water rescue and public safety diving experience with the delegation. It was clear, the safety and wellbeing of the communities we serve is a universal priority.

This past weekend, in partnership with Sacramento County Regional Parks and Sacramento Police Department, our team recovered a vehicle from the Discovery Boat Launch. Per law enforcement, the vehicle was associated with a missing persons case.

The body of a missing person was located in a vehicle that was pulled out of the water at a Sacramento boat launch on Sunday morning, officials said.

Earlier this month, DART was incredibly honored to be the recipient of a donation from the National Waterways Conference.

NWC held their annual conference in Sacramento, in lieu of speaker gifts, NWC chooses to donate funds to a local charity. A huge thank you to the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency, (https://www.safca.org/) the local host of this year's conference, for nominating our organization.

DART is proud to have served our region since 1980.
