The Elk Point Police Department are reminding residents of Elk Point that Franklin St from Main St South to the Elk Point-Jefferson School will be closed for the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run on Monday, May 11, 2026. The above mentioned portion of Franklin St will be closed starting at 10:30 AM and will be reopened 2 hours later at approximately 12:30 PM. The starting time for the Torch Run will be 11:15 AM at Lewis Drug.

We hope to see you there May 11th, cheering on our Special Olympic Athletes and showing support. The Elk Point Police Department wish to thank all of our Elk Point residents for their cooperation and continued support.

• Verify directly using a trusted phone number
• Report as spam and delete, if you think you’ve been targeted or scammed, contact your local law enforcement agency.

The Elk Point Police Department wants to show its appreciation to the Elk Point-Jefferson School Structured Learning Center for their efforts in creating Special Needs Communication Cards. These cards will serve as a valuable resource in assisting our officers.
