Thanks, Zach, for all you do to give back to your community as a Becker firefighter and a Sherburne County Correctional Officer!

Meet Firefighter Zach Beaumaster

Zach has been serving with the Becker Fire Department for 3½ years. He was inspired to become a firefighter by friends already serving in the fire service and by the opportunity to give back to the community.

His favorite part of serving is being part of a team made up of incredible individuals who work together with a shared purpose. What keeps him coming back is the amazing Becker community and the opportunity to continue serving the people who make it such a great place to call home.

Outside of the department, Zach works as a correctional officer. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, coaching, and spending time with his family. His favorite meal is breakfast food, he enjoys watching sports, and his beverage of choice is a cup of black coffee.

One of Zach's favorite things about Becker is its small-town camaraderie and the way people come together to support one another.

His message to residents:
"Try to find ways to give back to your community."

Thank you, Zach, for your 3½ years of dedication and service to the Becker community!

We've taken reports recently that county residents are getting phone calls from someone posing as a Sheriff’s Deputy and saying that there is a warrant out for their arrest and asking the person for money to resolve the fine associated with the warrant. These calls are SCAMS. Our office will not call anyone to ask for money to resolve a warrant. Don't give money or financial information to anyone who says they are calling from the Sheriff's Office. If someone calls you with a request like that, HANG UP.

The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games officially commenced Saturday, marked by the arrival of the Flame of Hope at Huntington Bank Stadium after a 10,000-mile, coast to coast Law Enforcement Torch Run. Our very own Sgt. Nabil Gubash represented our office in this historic Final Leg at the National Sports Center. Prior to the games, Sgt. Gubash assisted with the Team Minnesota athlete send-off and has been supporting the Main Operations Center (MOC) on the University of Minnesota campus. Running from June 22 through June 26, the competitions are being hosted across the University of Minnesota and the National Sports Center. The Flame of Hope stands as a powerful symbol of courage and inclusion, and we are privileged to support these incredible athletes as they showcase their remarkable abilities.
A special Thank You to Sgt. Gubash for his dedicated and continued support of Special Olympics and these incredible athletes.
