Congratulations to Rowan Fangman on being recognized as one of Iowa's most advanced young mathematicians! 🎉➕📚

Through a partnership between the Iowa Department of Education and National Math Stars, Rowan has been identified as eligible for the National Math Stars program after scoring in the top 2% of all third-grade students in mathematics on the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress in Spring 2026.

We are proud to celebrate this accomplishment and look forward to seeing all that he achieves in the future!

On our final staff day of the school year, we took time to celebrate the incredible people who make Central such a special place. ❤️🖤

The day began with a delicious meal of burgers and brats prepared by Our Farm Meats before staff gathered in the auditorium for our first annual Staff Recognition Ceremony. Board President Josh Embretson led the ceremony as staff members were recognized for their years of service and invited on stage to receive a gift in appreciation of their dedication to Central.

Collectively, our staff has an amazing 830 years of service to Central Community School, and nearly 30 staff members are proud Central graduates themselves. Their commitment, passion, and care for our students and community are what make Central strong.

Thank you to all of our staff for the difference you make every day. We are grateful for each and every one of you!

What started as a simple act of kindness at Starmont Community School has grown into something truly incredible for Central student, Eli Belser.

We are incredibly grateful to Starmont for starting this movement and to every school, organization, and individual who joined in. Your videos, messages, and encouragement have shown Eli and his family that they are surrounded by a community that cares.

This story is a powerful reminder that small acts of kindness can have a big impact. Thank you for helping Eli continue to bELIeve!

At Starmont High School in Iowa, the students went all-out with a massive show of support for one little boy, 11-year-old Eli Belser, who's been battling cancer. NBC News’ Hallie Jackson has the story.

What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of another successful school year! ☀️🎉

Today, Central Elementary gathered for its annual End-of-Year Assembly and Family Picnic. Students were recognized for their hard work, growth, attendance, and achievements throughout the year with a variety of awards and special recognitions.

A special congratulations goes to our 5th Grade Merit Award recipients, Nora Wiley and Eli Belser, for their outstanding leadership, character, and commitment to being positive role models at Central. We are proud of all they have accomplished!

The celebration continued with a colorful and fun-filled 6th Grade Color Run before students and their families enjoyed a picnic together in the city park.

Thank you to our students, staff, and families for another wonderful year. We wish everyone a safe, happy, and relaxing summer! ❤️🖤
