Like others, we were saddened to hear of Dolly Parton's passing yesterday. Her efforts to promote and increase literacy including the creation of her Imagination Library which mails free books to children from birth to age 5, regardless of background and family income were inspired by her father and his inability to read. She believed in children having access to books and the power that comes in reading.

If you would like to register your child to receive books from the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library or if you are interested in donating to its local partner, the Clayton County Foundation for the Future, which ensures that our local kids can continue to receive books from the Imagination Library, you can do so at the link below:

Hey -- by popular vote, the Afternoon Games gang is meeting at 1:00 PM on Thursdays!

Join us on Thursdays at 1:00 for Mahjong. It's a group great for beginner's with plenty of helpful handouts and relaxed gameplay to get anyone started.
