With the amount of elevated buildings within our jurisdiction, last nights training focused on ladder hinge rescue and aerial rescue. As is often the case, when skills are honed, lessons are learned.

The amount of skills needed by volunteer fire departments is broad and the training can be demanding however necessary to serve our community well.

What a great turnout for this years picnic and parade and with great weather. Thank you to everyone who supported our fire department this year. We appreciate each and every one of you.

As we prepare our trucks for the parade tomorrow we want to take a moment to thank all our supporters for coming down to watch the fireworks and Sons of Sconnie and for the continued support!

Tomorrow, July 5th parade starts at 11:30 picnic at the park to follow!!
