If you've never taken advantage of the Wildflower Walk or Bird Watcher Walk offered by the Elkhart Historical Society, this is a GREAT opportunity to participate and it's SO worth it.

You're not just observing native flowering plants that have been here FOR...EV...ER... (did you hear Squints from The Sandlot? IYKYK.😉), you're learning how they were used medicinally or otherwise. You're learning about Native American and local history (some of which can be amusing if you get a kick out of how tempers and opinions can lead people to be creative). It's a great way to celebrate the transition in seasons without even leaving the area. And let's get serious--where else around here can you get the opportunity to ride in a Country Limo?

See Jamie Hobson's page to register. The Elkhart Public Library loves information, and this is a great way to get some. 🙂
