Mayor Rod for Elkhart

While dining on Monday evening, Anna, one of the waitresses at Michael’s, brought her kids, Lilly, age 11, and Tobias, age 8, over to meet Mayor Rod. They wanted to meet him and Lilly had drawn a picture to give to Mayor Rod. What a little artist in the making! Such a pleasant, original gift to be presented. Thank you for the highlight in his day!

What a fabulous night to be out and in downtown Elkhart at the Elkhart Public Library for free music on the rooftop. Duke Tomato is playing some good blues.

What a great night at Groovin’ in the Gardens with one of the best bands around, Blammo. Nice way to start off the summer series at Wellfield Botanical Gardens, first of six on Thursday nights. Elkhart is so fortunate to have the beauty that is exhibited here, a must visit location!

What a fantastic weekend! The cooler temperatures cooperated in helping to make the 38th Annual Jazz Festival another success with music of all types. Food trucks, fireworks, musicians, dancing all helped with blending a delightful event in downtown Elkhart. Thank you to those that helped plan, the volunteers, sponsors and all of the visitors who came in from out of town as well as our own locals to participate in this great event!

A big thanks to all who participated with their sponsorships or golf teams in the 6th Mayor Rod for Elkhart golf tournament last Thursday, sponsored by the Committee to Elect Mayor Rod Roberson at Bent Oak Golf Club.
92 golfers filled the course with great shots, not so great shots, fun and most of all their support! We thank you all!
