Elkhart Community Schools welcomes and encourages open dialogue on our official social media pages.

These pages are intended to share information about our schools, students, staff, programs, and events, and to engage positively with our community. To ensure a respectful and safe environment for all, we ask that participants follow these guidelines when posting comments:

1. Be Respectful
Comments should be courteous and respectful. Personal attacks, threats, harassment, or discriminatory langua

ge will not be tolerated.

2. Stay On Topic
Comments should relate to the content of the original post or to Elkhart Community Schools. Off-topic or repetitive comments may be removed.

3. Protect Privacy
Do not post confidential, personally identifiable, or sensitive information about students, staff, or others. This includes addresses, phone numbers, student records, or personnel matters.

4. No Inappropriate Content
The district reserves the right to remove comments that include:
• Profanity or obscene language
• Hate speech or discriminatory remarks
• False or misleading information
• Commercial promotions, spam, or solicitation
• Content that violates any law or district policy

5. Personnel and Student Matters
To protect privacy, the district cannot discuss or respond to comments regarding specific students, staff, or personnel matters.

6. Not Official or Legal Notice
Communications made through the district’s social media sites will not constitute legal or official notice or comment to Elkhart Community Schools or any district official or employee for any purpose. Individuals needing to provide official notice must do so through appropriate district channels.

7. Third-Party Platform Disclaimer
Elkhart Community Schools’ social media pages are hosted on third-party platforms and are subject to the Terms of Service and policies of those providers. Information shared with or posted to district pages may be used by the platform providers in accordance with their own policies. These third-party sites are not governed by Elkhart Community Schools.

8. Public Record
Comments posted on this page may be considered public record and subject to applicable public records laws.

9. Moderation and Removal
Elkhart Community Schools reserves the right to hide or remove comments that violate these guidelines and may block users who repeatedly fail to follow them.

What an awesome experience for our students!

Over the weekend, Elkhart High School had 10 students selected for the Indiana All-Star Marching Band that participated in the Indy 500 Festival Parade. They were part of a group of over 200 students from more than 60 high schools across Indiana. Students wear the uniform that represents their home school on a route that winds through downtown Indianapolis and around Monument Circle.
