We get asked a lot 'how are you doing since May?'

This joyful video from Sunday explains how our family feels on the inside. Oh heck, who are we kidding, sometimes we do the happy dance too! 'You weren't meant to go through that door and into that world'. AMEN!!

Politics isn't for every family and by the grace of God we have been released from what was initially planned and watched HIM turn our lives into something so much better and more positive.

Thank you to Samuel Kamwenji Rosemary Waithira Livingstone , Mairus Halliburton and the rest of your church for bringing us through the storm and into the light.

Life is short and every day is a gift. Cherish it. Live. Love. Laugh. Don't forget to dance!

Well folks today is the day. Brian Keith Holloman ends over three decades of dedicated, loyal, compassionate, and integrity filled legacy. He's walking out of an agency, sooner than he had planned, but he's doing it with grace, with class, with a calm heart, and knowing there is a bigger plan for him.

The one thing he's been saying for about a week 'I am at peace with it now. My heart is at peace'. Is there sadness? Absolutely! That amount of loyalty to one place and those he worked for and with isn't something you see every day. It's going to sting a bit.

These pictures are a small glimpse into our cowboy! From using a crowbar to hang his multiple diplomas and awards (because he couldn't find a hammer) to smooching it up with a bear, Brian brought laughter, understanding, humor, intelligence, and he was a leader who was humble and kind. (Tim McGraw song, we know😁).

Today Brian will go 10-42 for the final time from Elkhart County Sheriff Office and then ride off into the sunset towards the path God chooses for him. If you have the scanner app-it will be on the air about 2 pm. He will listen to the dispatcher he chose, a long time friend, do the honor. Brian deserves every bit of accolades that are being sent his way.

Thank you for honoring and supporting our humble and faithful servant, for over three decades, to Elkhart County and those who live there.

Someone came up to us at Elkhart City Night out in the park and asked 'are you the people in charge of the AI pictures on Brian's page?'

Had to explain that every picture of Brian is authentic, beard, mustache, etc. His look has just changed over the years. In being completely transparent we HAVE 'cropped' out any of our children (Nicholas was standing next to Brian in this picture) that happen to be in any pictures we're using for this. SO some pictures , like this one, look altered but it was only to remove Sally's son from the picture. The reason is because the children need to not be a part of the public/social media side of things because we saw two of them take huge hits with social media over the last year. As parents, Brian and Sally will do everything they can to protect their children from any more social media backlash. (Yes we are, unfortunately, still having people post things that aren't nice and some are just downright gross!)

On THAT note WHO WORE IT BETTER TIME!!

Cowboy hats and police uniforms just work, especially if you're part of a command staff or higher position. The TV show 'In the Heat of the night' shows Virgil Tibbs sporting a cowboy hat. He made it cool before Brian did!

But what we want to know is who wore it better?

#1. Our cowboy Brian (for reference this was July 2023 at the Elkhart County 4H Fair) or
#2. TV character Virgil Tibbs

Today means only today and tomorrow then Brian is out of the Sheriff's agency. The outpouring of support, encouragement, and well wishes have overwhelmed our guy but keep them coming!! He most definitely deserves all the positivity you are sending?

Yesterday was the agency luncheon for Brian's retirement and it did not disappoint. There was food, laughs, sharing stories, and of course CAKE!

A well deserved celebration for a man that has given over three decades of faithful service to one agency. That kind of dedication is a rare gem to find. Our cowboy IS that rare gem and we are so proud of him.

Today marks three more days until Brian starts his next adventure.

We are all so excited for the path God has chosen for Brian. As his bride says 'sometimes God protects us from what we THOUGHT we wanted so the path could open up to what actually is HIS plan for you'. All along Brian's focus was on one thing yet the way it worked out will be much better for him and his family. God is great. All the time!

Today is the day current employees, retirees, and Brian's family were all invited to celebrate the amazing man Brian is and applaud him for such over three decades of dedicated and honorable service to Elkhart County Sheriff Agency.

So today's choice in 'who wore it better' is:

1. Captain Brian Holloman of the Elkhart County Sheriff Office
2. NASCAR driver Ryan Newman (South Bend native, Purdue Graduate, and Sally's favorite driver).

They really do resemble each other so maybe Brian could see about being a stunt double for Newman!! That would add another 'option' to what career path he takes next.

Today means that THREE MORE FULL DAYS serving the sheriff's office and then our cowboy will ride off into the sunset.

Many of you know that Brian worked every division at the Sheriff's agency in over three decades of service except the administration division. That's quite the legacy of service because he was a jail officer, patrol officer, worked undercover, SWAT, detective, Lieutenant of Detective bureau, Captain of detective bureau, and ending his career as Captain of Patrol.

So with that lengthy list of dedicated and loyal service to one agency, Elkhart County Sheriff Office, we're pulling two great throwback pictures for you to choose from.

The first is a pic of him during a SWAT training. You'll notice a pretty cool guy, Scott Homan standing by Brian. Unsure who the others are but we know it only matters that Holloman is in the picture.

The second picture is from his ' lieutenant ' days as noticed by the brass/bars on his collar AND he's sporting the 'anchor' beard. (Those are his words. Not ours!)

Keep the comments clean and classy! We've had some nasty, uncalled for, inappropriate, and just downright hateful things posted. Unnecessary and it's not a good look on those posting here, and other places, in such a negative manner. We have screenshots of the posts then we hide or delete them.

It's pretty simple folks. Step away from this page if you have such strong and negative feelings for the Holloman family. It's cool with us and we wish you well but just keep moving along and take the negative vibes elsewhere because WE ARE ALL IN POSITIVE AND PEACEFUL vibing mode and will continue to remain there.

Tomorrow starts the last week of Brian's employment with the agency he has loyally and faithfully served for over three decades!! We pray the week goes fast for our cowboy 🤠 and then we can all applaud as he walks into a much deserved retirement and into his next career!

Keep your ideas coming! Today makes six days until our favorite cowboy 🤠 walks into retirement and out of the Sheriff agency he's served faithfully and with integrity for over three decades!!

I have zero clue what decade of service he was in when that was taken but here we go.

Who wore it better?

1. I am piercing you with my gorgeous eyes in a tactic that would mesmerize you into telling me all the truths'.
