Please note that City Hall will be closed on Friday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth.

Update: Items will be on display tonight and then put into shadow boxes for more people to see on Saturday.

Time capsule will be opened today!! We will put items on display on Saturday at the 2026 Elkhart City Festival. At 1:30 Saturday, people can take the things that have their names on them, or designated to them. (ID may be required) All other items will be stored at city hall.

💥This Tuesday, 6/16!! Food trucks will be outside Veterans Memorial Community Center!

Come grab a bite to eat and catch the opening of the 50-year Elkhart time capsule! Reese's Roadside Eats & Treats and Mr. Burrito will be ready to serve you. 🌮🍟🍔🌯

Food trucks will be set up by 5:00pm. The time capsule opening will take place at 6:00pm.
