C-Shift crews were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the 57000 block of Keltner Road around 3:21 PM.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered smoke showing from the west side of the residence, visible through a small window and from the eaves. First-arriving crews made a rapid interior attack while additional personnel coordinated vertical ventilation, allowing the fire to be quickly brought under control and confined to a small portion of the home.

Thanks to the swift actions of responding firefighters and coordinated fireground operations, the fire was prevented from spreading throughout the residence.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Concord Fire would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all of our mutual aid partners who responded to assist. Their continued support and teamwork are invaluable in helping us provide the highest level of service to our community.

Today, B-Shift had the opportunity to stop by the Boys & Girls Club at Concord High School and provide a much-needed cool-down as everyone enjoyed the summer weather. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and a little relief from the heat as crews turned on the water for the kids to enjoy.

We're always grateful for opportunities like these to connect with our community and help make summer a little more fun and a lot safer. Thank you to the Boys & Girls Club for having usโ€”we hope everyone had a great time!

A-Shift crews from Concord Township Fire Department responded to the area of Phaeton Place and Coral Avenue for a public assist involving two kayakers in distress.

Upon arrival, firefighters located one kayaker safely on shore, separated from her kayak, which had become stuck in the water. A second kayaker was found in the water holding onto a log while awaiting assistance.
Crews rapidly deployed a water rescue boat team and safely recovered both kayakers, along with their kayaks, without incident.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

This incident serves as a reminder to always wear a properly fitted life jacket, be aware of changing water conditions, and never hesitate to call 911 if you find yourself in trouble on the water.

We are proud of the quick response and professionalism displayed by our A-Shift personnel, whose teamwork ensured a safe outcome for everyone involved.
