Walworth County Dems Our members live in and around Walworth County, which includes Elkhorn, Lake Geneva, Delavan, East Troy, and more in the southeastern part of Wisconsin.

Our mission is to elect Democrats in local, state and national elections, to educate our members and the public about legislation, and to provide a platform for discussion and action supporting progressive issues. Keynote Speaker: U.S. Rep Mark Pocan, CD-2, will bring his experience and stories of what is going on on the Republican side of the aisle and how we can take back our 1st congressional district.

Candidate forum: Hear from primary candidates vying to be the Democratic candidates for Governor, Lt. Governor, the U.S. House, Wisconsin Senate and Assembly.

In August, YOU WILL CHOOSE the candidates who move forward to the general election. Meet and hear from the candidates answering our questions.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts for the August primary and GOTV work and advocacy for Democratic Party candidates in the November election.

If you are able, please consider an additional contribution beyond the $40 admission. Students are welcome at no charge, but please register that you will be attending on the Act Blue site.

(If you would prefer to join a Neighborhood Team not aligned with this list (e.g., the town you live puts you in the East Troy team but your school district or your principal local interests put you in another Team, just go to the meeting of your preferred team and explain to the chair why you are there.)

—Beef is up 12.1% compared to last year.
—Fruit and vegetables have risen 7.5%—and prices are projected to climb another 4.8%.
—Even drinks aren't spared: soda and lemonade costs are up 5.6%.
—Gas and diesel prices are sky high because of the unnecessary war with Iraq.

We all know whose fault this is. The President’s and Republicans in Congress.

Every member of Wisconsin's Republican congressional delegation has backed the Trump administration's military actions in Iran despite constituents' calls for relief. Wisconsin Republicans also backed Trump’s reckless tariffs, which are raising prices across the board.

Before the 2024 election, Trump promised to not only slow inflation, bringing back to the Federal Reserve’s 2% target, he promised to lower costs.

But he keeps doing stupid stuff: tariffs and his “excursion” into Iraq. And we are paying the price.

“Brown University’s “Iran War Energy Cost Tracker” estimates Americans have spent about $24.97 billion extra on gasoline alone since the fighting erupted, while diesel accounts for another roughly $19.85 billion in higher costs.
The surge has been driven largely by turmoil surrounding the Strait of Hormuz — the narrow Persian Gulf shipping lane through which a massive share of the world’s crude oil supply flowed prior to the war.”
