✨Labor Day Reminder: There will be NO SCHOOL for students or staff on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

❤️🤍💙 9/11 Day of Service
We are excited to participate in our 9/11 Day of Service this Friday! Sixth-grade students are collecting donations to create care packages for our local first responders. Please send in any donations by Tuesday. Thank you for helping us show our appreciation to those who serve our community!

⭐ Clubs Are Starting!
Clubs are beginning to meet, and we encourage ALL students to get involved! Find a club that interests you, meet new friends, learn something new, and be part of our EMS community! 🦌

🎉 WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR BUCKIN’ ELKS! 🎉

We are thrilled to celebrate the AMAZING test results achieved by Elkin Middle School students during the 2025–2026 school year!

These results are a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students, along with the countless hours of planning, teaching, encouraging, and supporting from our incredible EMS staff. We could not be more proud of the growth and accomplishments of our students!

100% EXCEEDED GROWTH!

Elkin City Schools is celebrating remarkable academic results from the 2025–2026 school year!

Here is a quick look at what our students, teachers, and staff accomplished:

Elkin City Schools ranked 9th out of 115 school systems in overall performance, placing the district first in
the Piedmont-Triad Region and among the top 8% of school systems in North Carolina.

100% of ECS schools exceeded growth!

These results reflect the dedication, continuous hard work, and shared commitment to EXCELLENCE across our entire community as we celebrate our 80th anniversary.

Due to expected temperatures tomorrow the middle school soccer and tennis matches are postponed. Volleyball will also be rescheduled due to travel with Piney Grove. A makeup for all three events will be announced as soon as one is available.
