Soon, our seniors will walk the halls of Elkin High School one last time as students — carrying with them memories, friendships, lessons, and the spirit of a place that will always be home.

New Leadership Announcement!

​We are thrilled to announce that Tyler M. Robbins has been named the new Principal of Elkin Middle School!

​Mr. Robbins is a proud alumnus of the Elkin High School Class of 2012 and has dedicated his career to the students of this district. Most recently serving as the Assistant Principal at Elkin Elementary, he brings a wealth of experience to this new role, including six years as an 8th-grade science teacher right here at EMS.

​His commitment to excellence is well-recognized; he was honored as the 2024-2025 District "Julia Holthouser Richards" Teacher of the Year. Beyond his work in the classroom, Mr. Robbins has been a steady mentor for our youth with coaching and leading.

​Mr. Robbins is a recent graduate of the prestigious North Carolina Principal Fellows Program at Appalachian State University, where he completed his Master’s in School Administration. He is supported by his Elkin family, his wife, and their two daughters.

​We are excited for Mr. Robbins to bring his passion, innovative leadership, and deep local roots to the Buckin' Elks family! Congratulations Mr. Robbins! 🥳
