This week, we recognize the EMS professionals who answer the call during some of life’s most difficult moments. Whether responding to emergencies, providing critical care in the field, educating the public, or supporting patients beyond the hospital walls, EMS providers continue to make a difference every single day.

The 2026 EMS Week theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” reflects the teamwork, commitment, and compassion that drive our profession forward. Across Surry County and communities everywhere, EMS professionals work alongside healthcare providers, public safety partners, and the public to deliver care when it matters most.

Please join us this week in recognizing and thanking the men and women of EMS for their dedication, professionalism, and service to others.
