TheArk Elkin Providing shelter and supportive services to homeless women and families. We can accommodate 24 people per night.

The ARK accepts single women, married couples with or without children, and single parent families with children. We have not been empty a single night since opening our doors. Our goal is to model a healthy family lifestyle that promotes personal responsibility, respect, and cooperation among guests. Each guest receives intensive case management from our staff to assist them in finding and mainta

ining employment. We link guests up with community resources that will help them return to self-sufficiency and permanent housing as soon as possible.

We are so grateful for your support! When Greta Hinson reached out to ask how the church could help and what our greatest need was, we shared that we go through a LOT of laundry detergent — often purchasing it weekly to keep up with the needs of our shelter.
