✅ Power Has Been Restored!

We are pleased to report that power has been restored to the Randolph County Courthouse facilities. All courthouse offices will reopen tomorrow and resume normal business hours.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the dedicated Mon Power linemen and crews who worked tirelessly in the extreme heat to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Your hard work and commitment to our community are truly appreciated.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding during today's outage. We look forward to serving you tomorrow.

It is with profound sadness that the Randolph County Commission announces the passing of County Commissioner Chris See.

Commissioner See dedicated nearly 18 years of service to the citizens of Randolph County, faithfully serving three terms on the Commission. Throughout his years in office, Chris worked tirelessly to make Randolph County a better place for all who call it home. His commitment to public service, his willingness to help others, and his love for this community were evident in everything he did.

Commissioner See's dedication, integrity, kindness, and unwavering service have left a lasting impact on Randolph County. He will be remembered not only as a public servant but as a friend, mentor, coach, business owner, and neighbor whose legacy will continue through the lives he touched.

On behalf of the Randolph County Commission, we extend our deepest condolences to Debbie, Adam, Samantha, the entire See family, and all who knew and loved Chris.

Please keep the See family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Commissioner Chris See. Your service, friendship, and love for Randolph County will never be forgotten.

🇺🇸🦅 **A New Symbol of Pride in Randolph County!** 🦅🇺🇸

The Randolph County Commission is proud to unveil the stunning new **Eagle Mural**, created as part of the **America 250 Project** and beautifully painted by talented local artist **Heather Johnson**.

Located on the back of the historic Kelly Foundry building along the railroad tracks, this mural transforms a space that once drew concerns from train passengers due to graffiti into a bold and inspiring work of art that celebrates American spirit and community pride.

This project was made possible through a collaborative effort:
🎨 $5,000 FY26 Arts Grant from the WV Department of Tourism, State Arts Office that the Randolph County Commission and our Grant writer Peggy Ross applied for and was awarded.
🎨 $400 contribution from the Randolph County Commission, plus grant administration support
🎨 $900 donation from the Emma Scott Garden Club to provide the lift
🎨 $1,200 generously donated by Heather Johnson herself

When a need was identified, the County Commission stepped in—and together with community partners, turned a problem into a point of pride.

Next time you pass by—or ride the train—be sure to take in this powerful new addition to Randolph County!

This morning, our elected officials proudly represented Randolph County at the Government Edition of the Leadership Randolph program!
It was a great opportunity to share insight into how our local government operates, highlight the important work being done across our county, and connect with current and future leaders in our community.
We are grateful for the chance to invest in leadership development and showcase the dedication of those who serve Randolph County every day. Thank you to everyone involved in making this program a success!
